senior software engineer based in melbourne. 20+ years working on distributed systems, kafka data platforms, defence software, and HPC. early GPGPU work back when "GPGPU" still needed explaining.

these days i build aletheia — an AI-powered OSINT and intelligence analysis platform — and release electronic music as ÆYER. this site is the older one. i've had it for ten-plus years in various forms.

the writing here is whatever i feel like writing. system design lessons, debug stories, music production discoveries, occasional homelab adventures. some posts are long, most are short. all are markdown files in a git repo, which is the third blog system i've used here — the previous two ate themselves at various points and took my data with them.

contact details on /contact. what i'm currently working on is at /now.
